1998 Chevy 3500 series chassis with a squad box built by E-One of Ocala, Florida. Medic
46 is a hospital-based paramedic unit, which serves Adams and York counties in south-central,
PA. The unit responds to over 2,000 calls a year. The new unit replaces a 1995 Chevy Suburban,
which will be used as a back-up unit.
The unit was donated by a local family who always purchases new ALS units for the hospital over the
last 30 years. The new vehicle allows Hanover Hospital to carry more rescue equipment and is much
safer for the staff. The unit also has four-wheel-drive and can carry a crew of five. It is also
equipped with the latest in emergency lighting and warning devices.
