This Saulsbury Rescue Pumper was designed to replace an older pumper and a
small rescue truck with just one vehicle. The truck is built on a Spartan
Advantage FF chasis with a 330 hp Cummins eng. Cab is Air Conditioned and
has Fire Com headsets for all 6 seating positions.
This truck features a 10Kw Hydraulic generator, 1500gpm pump, 1000 gal.
booster tank, 1000' of 5" supply hose, three each 200' - 1.75" preconnects
(two on front bumper), one 200' -2.5" preconnect, prepiped deluge gun and
400' of 2.5" hose. Scene lighting includes a 3000 watt Will-Burt light
tower, two 500 watt tripod lights on rear, 2 each 750 watt quartz lights on
each side, and one 750 watt quartz light on the front, and two each 200'
electric cord reels.
The pump panel is enclosed in the rear compartment on the passenger side
with all adapters and appliances conveniently located on a shelf and drawer
in the same compartment near the engineer.
Rescue equipment includes two each 100' hydraulic reels preconnected to an
Amkus electric simo unit, an Amkus gasoline simo power unit, 2 each 20"
rams, 2each 40" rams, spreaders, cutters, and a combo tool. 4 tools can be
in operation at the same time using both the electric and gas power units. 4
each backboards, stokes basket, sawz-all, k-12, sure-vent ventilation saw,
chainsaw, porta-power, hot line cutters, 10 gal. of class A foam, 10 gal. of
class B foam, CO2 extinguisher, dry chemical extinguisher, pressurized water
extinguisher, positive pressure fan, electric exhaust fan, 1.5" foam
eductor, foam Pro- Pak, 6 each ISI SCBA , 6 spare SCBA bottles, cribbing
(short and long) explosive meter and CO meter is a list of some of the
equipment carried.
Unit carries the required EMS equipment and has certification as a Illinois
First Responder Vehicle.
