Minneapolis Fire Department's H. D. Rescue put in service on 12/28/00. Built by Pierce on a Lance chassis with a 60 series 12.7L Detroit 430 HP and a Allison HD4560PR World transmission. Sold by Clarey's Safety Equipment. Seating for 8, the Heavy Duty Rescue responds to all working fires and specializes in high angle, confine space rescue and extrication. Featuring a Night Scan 9,000 watt Light Tower, powered by a 25 kw hydraulic AMPS generator, 125 cfm screw air compressor, 10,000# winch, two 300' electric cord reels, two 200' air reels, full set of Vetter air bags, and Lukas hydraulic tools.
