This is equipped with a powerful menu:
Eaton Fuller 6 speed synchromesh transmission; 188" wheel base; Front axle:
12,000# G.A.W.R., Rear axle: 26,000# G.A.W.R., (G.V.W.R.: 38,000#); Air
brakes and On-Spot automatic tire chains; Disc wheels with stainless steel
simulators; 270 amp alternator. The pump is a Hale RMC 1500 GPM rear mount ~
with two 3" discharges, one 3" deck gun, three 2½" discharges, one 1¾" rear
step discharge, one 2½" suction (gated) and one 6" suction (gated) with a
Storz connection. The pump also boasts a 20,000 BTU heater (to prevent
freezing) and is weather enclosed. The water tank is a 1250 gallon U.P.F.
Poly IIE wetside.
An Accusonic Water Level Gauge was graciously donated by
the developer, Barry Leete, and is manufactured in Clarendon, VT. (and
marketed by MC Products). To aid in fire suppression, there is also a Foam
PRO 1600 Class A foam system with a 25 gallon foam cell.
Storage areas -
right & left, are polished stainless steel low-side compartments (with a
slide-out drawer on the left side to house four SCBA packs) and are built on
a stainless steel substructure and include Dover roll up doors all around.
There are also 4 covered wheel housing tubes for spare SCBA bottles. A
swimming pool-type rear access ladder leads to a top mounted deluge deck gun &
two full aluminium diamond plate hose bed covers that protect an easy-access
divided storage area with a capacity for 1,000 feet of 4" and 500 feet of
2½" hose.
There are two electric rewind dry storage reels that hold 300 feet
each of 1¾" attack lines. The covered aluminum
diamond plate rear step houses 200 feet of 1¾" pre-connect. All hose have
Mercedes quick connect ¼ turn couplings. Additional water supply can be
provided by a 2100 gallon Fold-A-Tank, which is left-side-mounted on a fold
down rack.
Stored above the roll-up compartments on the right side are a 24
foot fiberglass 2-section ladder, a 14 foot fiberglass roof ladder & a
fiberglass full length pike pole. Warning & lighting systems include dual
air horns, a Vectra 100 watt siren with voice command, a Power Arc
full-lighting package, six "under truck" parimeter lights, two 300 watt
telescopic combination spot & flood Focus Scene Lights, from Fire Research.
The 2-person cab is painted a bright lime yellow, as that color offers far
greater visibility than the old, traditional red.
