The Francestown, NH, Fire Department has placed in service a 2001 Ford/Valley rescue unit. The poly body unit is built on a 4x4 Ford F550 chassis and is powered by a powerstroke diesel. The new rescue has a 5000 watt generator and has 4 500 watt telescoping quartz lights. The unit will be used for ALS first response, fireground support, technical rescue and Hazmat operations. The new truck is also used to support Francestown's water rescue team and tows a 17 foot rescue boat. The unit was built by Valley Equipment of Bradford, NH.
