2001 Oshkosh T1-1500S Model ARFF
The Portland, Maine Fire Department has placed this 2001 Oshkosh T1-1500S
model ARFF unit in-service at the Portland International Jetport.
The unit is equipped with a 1250 gpm pump, 3000 gallons of water, 450
gallons of 3% AFFF agent, 500 pounds of Halon. The unit is also equipped
with a 35 ft piercing nozzle. The unit is powered by a Detroit Diesel and
has an Allison automatic transmission.
