The truck was recieved on 8/30/01 and placed in service on 9/14/01. It is equipped with a 4 bottle cascade system, 2 electric hydralic hose reels with 100' each of hose off the back, 2 electric cord reels with 100' each of electric cord - 1 off each side, 1 200' high pressure air hose on an electric reel off the back, a 25 kw, PTO generator, and 6 750 quartz-halogen lights - 4 on quick-raise poles. The truck also has high and low pressure airbags, Hurst hydralic tools, hand tools, GPS, and various other equipment for rescue and special ops.
This truck is dedicated to Captain Walter Gass who was lost in the Line of Duty on 27 Jan. '00.
The Sealy Fire Department covers an area of 101 square miles and provides fire protection to the Austin County Rural Fire Protection District #2 and the City of Sealy, TX. We are a rural area located west of Houston, TX and cover 12 miles of Interstate 10 with a population of approximately 7500 persons.
