RI Bravest Battle Building Fire

Photos/Story By: Tim Delaney

On September 1, 2000 firefighters from Providence, RI were dispatched to a report of a building fire at Cypress St. and Camp St.

Engine 2 arrived within minutes to find heavy fire in a single story garage with two vehicles burning inside.

A request was made for two engines and two ladders to the scene due to the amount of fire and the close proximity of exposures.

Firefighters made a quick, aggressive attack on the fire which knocked down the fire and kept the spread of the fire to exposure three minimal.

The fire was under control in under 30 minutes.

The cause of the fire is not known and is under investigation.
