West Virginia Firefighters Battle Trailer Fire

Story/Photos by Mike Mudrick

Fire personnel from West Virginia and Pennsylvania representing seven different departments responded to an afternoon house trailer fire reported to be of a suspicious nature.

Colliers Fire Chief Tim Howell reported that first in companies reported heavy smoke and fire throughout the structure.

Firefighters were hampered in suppression efforts due to poor water supply and an abundance of structural contents fueling the fire.

Tanker units responded from Hanover and Jefferson Township's Pennsylvania. The fire was reported to be suspicious in nature.

The Brooke County Sheriff's Department, Brooke County Prosecutors Office and the West Virginia State Fire Marshall are investigating the incident. No injuries were reported.
