New York Firefighters Battle Mobile Home Fire

Photos/Story by William P. Gardner

A fire destroyed a mobile home in D&R village mobile home park located in Town of Clifton Park New York.

The fire is believed to have been started by a defective window fan used to cool the structure.

First arriving units were hampered by the fact that the fire was being fueled by oxygen tanks stored by the occupant.

There were no injuries to firefighters or civilian personnel.

Units from Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Round Lake, Hillcrest fire departments and Clifton Park Halfmoon Ambulance Corp were on the scene for approx 3 hours.
