Virginia Firefighters Battle Basement Fire

The Yorkshire Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to 8009 Maplewood Drive for reported basement fire.

Wagon, Engine, and Chief 8 along with Chief 8-1 responded to the blaze. Wagon 8 arrived on the scene with smoke showing.

After Wagon 8's officer did his walk around he advised that he had the basement fully involved. 8's crew made an aggressive attack.

Units operating on the first floor said that it was close to flashing and there were holes in the floor.

Units from Yorkshire, Manassas City, Manassas Park, Buckhall, and Stonewall Jackson also responded to the blaze.
