On July 25, a 38' cabin cruiser in Baltimore Inner Harbor East Marina was reported on fire.
The first units on location saw smoke showing and applied water with multiple hand lines.
Unfortunately, the fire was persistent and kept reappearing.
The Baltimore City Fire boats arrived, blasting heavy streams toward the fire.
Even after the boat partly sank, the fuel in the water sparked and created exposure problems with other vessels.
Several boats had to be removed.
The Baltimore City Fire Department also used foam to protect surrounding exposures and help smother the flames.
The fire took over two hours to get under control.
