Maryland Firefighters Respond to Motorcycle Accident

On July 28, a motorcycle driven by a 47 year old male collided with the guard rail on Route 100 in Maryland.

No other vehicles were involved.

The injured motorcyclist was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma center in Baltimore city.

The motorcyclist's arm was severed in the accident. Rescue workers recovered and transported it to the trauma center.

Units from Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department, Ellicott City Volunteer Fire Department, Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department, Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue and Maryland State Police Trooper 8 responded to this incident.

Howard County police are investigating the incident.
