Florida Firefighters Extricate One

Story/Photos by Mark Smith

On Thursday, March 21, at U.S.19 and Venable Road, this red pickup was struck in the passenger side.

The force of the accident sent the passenger out the window and into a ditch about 30 feet from the truck.

The operator was stabilized in the vehicle then extricated, using hurst and manual tools.

Both victims survived, thanks to the rescue efforts of the Crystal River Fire Dept on the scene.
