On Mother's Day, Sunday May 13th, Maryland firefighters responded to a fire at the Swann's Hotel in Piney Point.
The first arriving units from the Second District Vol. Fire and Rescue Squad Co. 6 (Valley Lee), found the hotel about forty percent involved.
Units operating on the scene with Valley Lee were Bay District Vol. Fire Dept. Co.3 (Lexington Park) and Co. 9 (Califorina), Leanordtown Co. 1, Hollywood Co. 7, and Ridge Co. 4.
Units remained on the scene for most of the night.
