New Jersey Firefighters Battle Condo Blaze

Story/Photos By Ryan D. Fenstermaker

On September 4th a cell phone caller reported heavy smoke coming from a condominium complex under construction in North Brunswick, NJ.

Responding units immediately called for a second alarm as heavy fire could be seen in two separate buildings.

The fire involved both three story buildings and destroyed half of each structure.

Operating on scene were units from North Brunswick, East Brunswick Dists 2 and 3, Milltown and East Franklin, with numerous towns providing covers.

It took approximately 75 firefighters three hours to extinguish the blaze.

There were no injuries and the fire was deemed arson since electric and gas supplies had not been connected yet.
