It took 30 firefighters operating five engines and two ladders to control a fire in a large frame dwelling in Fitchburg, MA, on Feb. 26, 2004. Firefighters from Leominster and Westminster responded to the fire.

Dedication

This month?s Firehouse? is dedicated to Chief Kevin M. Shea, 54, of the Elsmere, NY, Fire Department and Firefighter/Paramedic David Andrew Mackie, 35, of the Orange City, FL, Fire Department, who died in the line of duty, January 2004; and to Lieutenant Brenda Cowan, 40, of the Lexington, KY, Fire Department and Captain/EMT Robert ?Bobby? Heminger, 39, and Captain Kenny Woitalewicz, 38, both of the Wood River, NE, Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department, who died in the line of duty, February 2004.
