Members of the FDNY, FDNY EMS, New York Police Department and Port Authority Police Department and representatives and officials of other city and government agencies carry a ceremonial empty stokes basket to an ambulance marking the end of the recovery process at "Ground Zero." A trailer carried the last piece of structural steel from the site. The ceremony took place at the World Trade Center site in New York on May 30, 2002.

Dedication

This month's Firehouse® is dedicated to Firefighter Harold Strode, 46, of the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, Division of Forestry; Firefighter Clifford White Jr., 21, of the Cameron, WV, Volunteer Fire Department; and Firefighter George F. Danielson Jr., 77, of the Mine Hill, NJ, Fire Department, all of whom died in the line of duty, November 2001.
