Firehouse.com, Inc. is proud to launch its newest section to promote technology and to share exciting information on technology related advances by taking a look at how these new technologies will effect the emergency service community.

In May 2001, Firehouse.com launched a full segment of the site, titled Firehouse.com TECHZONE. TECHZONE will provide news and information, dozens of forums, online resources, e-Commerce and much, much more.

Charles Werner, deputy chief with the Charlottesville VA Fire Department, Firehouse Magazine Contributing Editor and Firehouse.com Technology Editor, who originally consulted to help in the development of Firehouse.com, will review new advances in technology, internet, software, communications, and provide online resources available for emergency providers.

Chief Werner will guide discussions and share the successes and "lessons learned" from other departments around the world. If you have information you would like to submit like technology stories, photos, etc. send them to techzone@firehousemail.com.

The TECHZONE will initially be updated twice a month and will provide technology related stories from Firehouse.Com, plus headlines and related items 'Elsewhere on the Web'.
